At Bri-Tech, we believe that great technology should disappear into the background—seamlessly empowering moments that move people. That belief came to life in the extraordinary installation of Born of Fire by internationally acclaimed artist and filmmaker Shirin Neshat, now on view at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, New York.
This multi-gallery, immersive video installation is a striking reflection on identity, resistance, and the human experience. With large-scale projections on opposing walls and a deeply emotional soundtrack, Born of Fire invites viewers to become fully enveloped in Neshat’s narrative. It’s not just a viewing experience—it’s a visceral one.
The AV Behind the Art
Bri-Tech was honored to engineer and install the complete AV system for this exhibition, ensuring that the artist’s powerful vision was realized with precision and impact. From the very beginning, the installation required a specialized approach:
Multi-screen Synchronization: The exhibition spans multiple video channels that had to play in perfect harmony. We ensured frame-accurate syncing between the visuals and audio to maintain the integrity of the narrative flow.
Audio Modeling for Clarity: The soundtrack, composed to immerse viewers, needed to be experienced—not just heard. We modeled the acoustic environment in software to identify optimal speaker placements, reducing reflection and maximizing intelligibility without compromising the ambiance.
Specialized Lenses for Scale: The images projected on the gallery walls are larger than life. We utilized specialized projection lenses to deliver crisp, edge-to-edge visuals that maintain detail and depth, even at massive scales.
A Trusted Partnership
Bri-Tech has proudly supported the Parrish Art Museum as a technology partner since the construction of its Water Mill facility. As a long-standing collaborator, we’ve provided state-of-the-art AV solutions that meet the museum’s evolving needs while respecting the integrity of its exhibitions.
In Born of Fire, the technology does more than support the artwork—it elevates it. The result is a hauntingly beautiful sensory experience that resonates deeply with every visitor.
